Art Criticism

Art as Value, Equity

I’d rather that we value art as more a view on life and the world than as a singular object installed lifeless.

Because it seems to me that each one view is individual, though inseparable from all other views that we know make up our world. Each work of art comes from each one view and has only that account in kind with all other works. Otherwise, nothing relates one work to another. When we value work, we silently value that one view.

If, however, we attach value to a singular object we’re sleeping with equities, we’re fucking portfolios.
